The Professional Paranoid

How to Fight Back When Investigated, Stalked, Harassed, or Targeted by Any Agency, Organization, or Individual. This book, published over a decade ago, is full of important information on surveillance capabilities used by different organizations throughout the world. The appendix alone is well worth the price of the book. My overall goal is to show the reader what was available in 1998 so that they can then extrapolate this with what is available now. I will cover space based and ground based technologies (Echelon/Satellites/HAARP/) of surveillance in later books/posts. Once the reader starts to think about current surveillance capabilities there is no way to believe that US agencies (DOD/CIA/NSA) did not know where Osama Bin Laden was located or how he was communicating. This goes for the time period before 9/11 and for the time afterward when he was supposedly killed in a raid in a secret compound with his high speed satellite dish on the roof. (What a joke).

One of the most important ways to contruct a good defense is to Know Thy Enemy, particularly his techniques/tactics/technologies/ and psychological profile. This book can help you do that. Knowledge is the key. Below is a review Catherine Austin Fitts did for the book on Amazon.

"When I was targeted by the Clinton Administration, I experienced several years of round the clock physical surveillance and harrassment and all manner of risks for which my experience on Wall Street and in Washington had not prepared me. This included friends and family who helped me during this extraordinary period also being targeted.

Thank goodness for H. Michael Sweeney and his book, The Professional Paranoid. To this day, I believe that this book helped save my life. This was a period when websites kept death lists of people who had been targeted and died. I sure did not want to end up on one of those lists."

Later on I want to get into some other aspects of the book concerning harrasment that is tailored to the target from the surveillance gathered about the target. These two items go hand in glove.
